About the Role
As a CBRE Facilities Sr. Manager, you will manage many functions of
building operations and maintenance for a facility, campus, or
portfolio of buildings.
This job is a part of the Facilities Management functional area
which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets,
providing support to the Property Managers regarding all repairs
and investment plans.
What You'll Do
Provide formal supervision to employees. Supervise the training and
development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and coaching.
Coordinate the recruiting and hiring of new employees.
Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work
schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff
and department target dates. Mentor and coach as needed.
Manage facility repairs and maintenance by working with
technicians, vendors, and contractors.
Maintain positive client relationships and conduct meetings on
unresolved facility issues.
Prepare and manage large and high-profile capital projects,
operating budgets, and variance reports.
Perform facility inspections quality assurance following local,
state, and federal regulations. Suggest and implement operational
efficiencies, repairs, and upgrade opportunities.
Build environmental health and safety procedures for
facilities.
Develop vendor relationships and supervise invoicing procedures.
Review and approve purchase orders for the procurement of parts,
services, and labor for projects.
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE
RISE values. Influence others to embrace a different point of view
while being guided by policies and departmental plans.
Identify and solve technical and operational problems of
complexity.
Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards
within job field.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant
experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and
education will be considered. Valid driver's license required.
Facility Management certification preferred.
Experience within a manufacturing setting preferred.
Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training,
development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and
rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
Ability to lead the exchange of difficult information, convey
performance expectations and handle problems.
Leadership skills to empower the team to achieve broad operational
targets with impacts on own job field, multiple job subject areas,
and department.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include
Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Extensive organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive
mentality.
Intermediate math skills. Ability to calculate complicated figures
such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-related
calculations.
