TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Toledo, Ohio, 43606 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Job Specialty: PCU - Observation Unit Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years, recommended experience with intermediate medication drips such as heparin, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, insulin, etc. Charge experience required. License: Valid state license required, no pending licenses accepted. Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - Ability to float within the service line to various facilities as needed - Experience in a mixed unit with PCU, Med Surg Tele, and Med Surg - Familiarity with telemetry work settings - Completion of a basic Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam Job Description: - Operate in a fast-paced department with a patient length of stay goal of 18-24 hours. - Work primarily with adult and geriatric patient age groups. - Handle various patient diagnoses including chest pain, abdominal pain, Atrial Fibrillation, TIA, anemia/GI bleed, dehydration/AKI, syncope, vertigo, COPD, asthma, UTI/Pyelonephritis, headache/migraine, CHF, seizure, carbon monoxide poisoning, pancreatitis, cellulitis, and post-outpatient surgery complications. - Fulfill weekend requirements every other weekend. - Engage in floating between specified units like Neuro/Stroke, Cardiac, Orthopedic, Trauma, Oncology, General Surgery, Uro/Vascular, and others. - Complete mandatory facility requirements including fingerprinting where applicable. - Follow schedule alterations based on staffing needs with a two-to-three week notice. - Adhere to all vaccine requirements with medical or religious exemptions available. - Participate in a non-billable, mandatory 4-hour orientation. 26154620EXPPLAT Job Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS - AHA BLS - AHA Pharmacology Skills Checklist Specialty Exam About Cynet Health Your travel nursing adventure begins here.
