medium-sized community.Job is 4-10s On callCall is split monthly
between the number of CRNA s (currently 23) so each person gets
roughly 1-2 weekdays per month and 1 weekend every couple
monthsThis position in collaboration with a physician develops an
anesthesia care plan. Provides IV sedation and/or monitored
anesthesia care and/or administers general, regional or local
anesthesia for a variety of surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic or
therapeutic procedures.Monitors patients accurately and performs
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), ventilation or life support
measures during emergencies throughout the Medical Center.Manages
the patients physiological condition while under anesthesia and
initiates corrective actions as necessary or as directed by a
physician.Assists with other departmental or professional duties as
requested by the Manager of Anesthesiology.EssentialDuties:- (25%)
Performpre-anesthetic evaluation and preparation- (25%) Preparesthe
OR Suite for all types of anesthesia- (25%) Administers,manages,
and monitors anesthesia care during induction, maintenance,
andemergence- (25%) Providepost-anesthesia care and
evaluationSkills (include but are not limited to):- Adult and
pediatric venipuncture- Arterial line insertion- Medication
calculation and effects - Sterile technique- Airway maintenance-
Administration and management of regional anestheticsOther Duties
and Responsibilities:- Takesappropriate safety precautions to
insure the safe administration of his/heranesthesia care. -
Identifiesopportunities for improving quality, including patient
outcomes and operationalefficiency within the Department. -
Provides clinical support to other departments within the
MedicalCenter. - Other duties as assignedExperience, Training,and
Additional Skills:- Education: Knowledge of anesthesia as normally
acquired through completion of an accredited program of nurse
anesthesia culminating in NBCRNA certification and licensure in the
State of Michigan. May also be in the process of completing final
course work and waiting to take State Boards.-

communicate successfully withindividuals and groups to interact
with people at all levels to communicateideas and concepts in a
