Job Description:

• Certification Details
• AHA only - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure (NRP)
• TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course required for ER positions at Battle Creek
• Tech Cert Verification - National for Med Techs required either by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent in Medical Laboratory Science (MLS), Medical Technology (MT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• State License 1 Verification must be verified by the unit and facility using the Compliance matrix
• NIH Stroke Certification required for specified units.
  • Job Details
  • 36 or 48 hour contracts available
  • Must be available the entire week of orientation.
  • Will float to other Med Surg units
  • Will work every other weekend.
  • Cannot guarantee/approve block scheduling at this time
    • Job Requirements
    • Michigan RN License (pending license ok, must provide ETA)
    • BLS (AHA) (will accept pending, please confirm willing to obtain)
    • 2 Years Med/Surg Experience Preference.
    • Minimum 1 year Required.
      • Schedule Information
      • Depending on the unit needs could be placed on the following units: ortho/neurovascular, cardio/pulmonary, Surgical patients are GI, urology, hysterectomies, mastectomies.
      • Staffing Ratio 1:5-6 for nights
      • Ratios may flex to 8 patients but RN will be paired with LPN for support in these instances
      • Floating depends on need- typically float to other units once per week roughly
      • There is no guarantee that holiday time off requests will be accepted as holidays are usually required.

        • Must be willing to work with a variety of staff (i.e., RN, LPN, Techs etc.)
