TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Detroit, Michigan, 48202 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Job Specialty: Emergency Department Job Duration: 13-week contract Shift: 6PM-6AM Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years Emergency Department experience; previous experience in a Trauma Level 1 facility License: Current RN licensure required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC Must-Have: - Previous experience at a Trauma Level 1 facility - Current RN licensure - BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications Job Description: - Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality, compassionate patient care. - Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Provides, delegates, supervises, and documents care and education for patients and families. - Communicates effectively with the healthcare team to relay pertinent patient/family information. - Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and implements solutions. - Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities are necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans within the assigned unit/department. - Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services. - Communicates effectively with patients, families, and hospital personnel. Preferred Qualifications: - Previous travel experience - PALS certification - Previous experience working in an inner-city hospital Notes: - Emergency Department sees 200-300 patients per day. Patient population is all ages, but pediatrics is rare. High population of psych and critical patients. Only outsource burns and pediatrics. - There are techs in the Emergency Department, but due to staffing shortages, they are not always readily available in every area. - The schedule is created in six-week blocks and posted two weeks in advance. Please limit requests for time off and do not request more than 3 consecutive days of PTO. - Manager will conduct interviews via phone.
