apply.*Responsibilities: *Under supervision of the Outreach Case
Management Coordinator, serves as a Master's level clinician
performing a wide range of direct/indirect mental health services
to persons with serious & persistent mental illness or co-occurring
disorders; has knowledge of entitlement and assistance programs;
conducts individual and group therapy; provides referral and
linkage to various other programs and/or services in the community;
provides crisis intervention and community and home-based outreach
services to consumers with multiple needs; consults with service
providers and operates as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
Consumers may have multiple medical issues and need assistance in
addressing. Must be able to work well making decisions
independently and within a team. Will assess challenging
behaviors/emotional trauma by interviewing and observing consumers,
reviewing appropriate records and developing a specific treatment
plan using a strength based model. Responsible for carrying out all
activities of the program/sub-unit in such a manner that fulfills
CMHA-CEIs mission, policies and procedures.*Requirements:
*Possession of a Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology or
related field is required or must be obtained within 60 days of
application. Possession of an appropriate State of MI credential is
required or must have applied for and be able to obtain within 60
days of hire. One year experience (professional or
paraprofessional) in treating or working with persons with mental
illness required or one academic year of graduate
practicum/internship experience working with persons with mental
illness required. Access to reliable means of transportation for
job related use required. Must be able to communicate effectively
verbally and in writing is required. May be required to operate a
computer. Other requirements needed for this classification will
depend upon the area of assignment and program need.*Conditional
Employment Requirements:* Must pass background verification and
credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police
clearance check, verification of a professional license,
Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable
driving record, educational background check and verification of an
acceptable work history. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.*To
