  • Department: PET/CT Mobile Unit - Nuclear Medicine
  • Schedule: FT 40 hours per week, variable day shifts, including weekends. This position will be on the mobile unit traveling to multiple locations in Southeast Michigan.

Connect with your Talent Advisor for additional specifics.Responsibilities Perform routine and advanced positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT) procedures for use by physicians in the diagnosing and treating of patient illness and/or injury.
    • Screen patient before the procedure for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination. Explain and prepares patients for PET/CT procedures that will be performed.
    • Adjust scan parameters correctly and as needed, utilizing dose reduction techniques as appropriate. Perform and record daily quality control procedures on specified equipment to ensure correct and accurate operation.
    • Maintain compassionate patient care, comfort and safety, while ensuring patient confidentiality.
    • Assess, prepare, record and administer radiopharmaceuticals according to Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state regulations and departmental policies.
    • Perform daily and weekly departmental surveys to ensure compliance of radiation standards of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and/or state regulations.
    • Travel to various medical facilities on a mobile route.Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:
      • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
      • Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
      • One or more of the following required:
        • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
        • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.Education:
