Job Description:
A company is looking for a Clinical Coding Analyst to perform
pre-bill inpatient chart reviews for MS DRG assignment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct daily pre-bill chart reviews and communicate findings to
clients within 24 hours
Identify revenue opportunities and compliance issues based on
coding rules and clinical knowledge
Prepare and submit recommendations for reimbursement adjustments
and handle appeals for denials
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
AHIMA credential of CCS, CDIP, or ACDIS credential of CCDS
required
Graduate of an accredited Health Information Technology or
Administration program preferred
Minimum of 7 years of acute inpatient hospital coding, auditing, or
CDI experience required
Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 CM/PCS required
Experience with electronic health records systems required
