Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing a variety of laboratory tests and procedures.Responsibilities:

• Perform routine qualitative and quantitative clinical laboratory tests of repetitive nature on patient specimens following appropriate methodologies and established policies and procedures.
• Analyze test results; communicate results clearly, accurately and promptly to physicians and other authorized personnel.
• Record tests results and review for accuracy and conformance to established quality control parameters.
• Utilize, calibrate and maintain automated, non-automated and computerized laboratory equipment; perform quality control checks on equipment.
• Obtain specimens from patients and transport to laboratory.Requirements:
  • Two-year college degree in an approved Medical Lab Technician program or equivalent.
  • Registry eligible or registered as a Medical Laboratory Technician with the American Society of Clinical Pathologists, National Certifying Agency or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and medical software preferred.Benefits:
