Description: We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Technician to join our team in Ypsilanti, MI. This role involves changing tires on tractor trailers, performing routine inspections, replacing parts, and completing various repair tasks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Welding and torch skills are required.
Responsibilities:Change tires on semi-trucks and trailers as well as conduct tire repairsPerform routine vehicle inspections to identify potential issuesReplace parts and conduct basic mechanical repairs as neededUse welding and torch equipment for maintenance and repairsEnsure all work is completed safely and to high standardsAbility to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditionsAnything else that the Operations Manager may ask of youRequirements: Mechanical experience, preferably with tractor trailers or heavy equipmentProficient with welding and torch toolsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordAbility to pass a background check and drug screeningStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety Good time management skillsDependable and willing to work flexible hours.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong Mechanical backgroundGood problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesStrong commitment to workplace safety
